Richie Ellis is a New York-based director interested in the forces that shape identity: family, community, culture, and the stories people tell themselves to survive.

His work moves between the commercial and narrative worlds, combining a documentarian's eye for observation with a cinematic approach to storytelling. Whether filming delivery drivers navigating the city, athletes under pressure, or characters searching for a place to belong, he is drawn to people caught between expectation and self-determination.

His award-winning films have screened internationally and earned multiple Best Film honors, while his commercial work has been created for brands including Amazon, Sony, Puma, and Tonal.

Across both commercial and narrative work, Richie is drawn to stories about people navigating the systems that define them - and the moments they choose to break free.
